Imposter Syndrome
Imposter Syndrome
Do you have self doubt? Do you have fear? Do you compare yourself to others?
Sadly many of us have these and these can be barriers to us taking action and moving forward.
To move forward we need to have an ‘imperfect action’ mindset. Waiting for things to be perfect means we never actually do anything so we stay stuck in the same place. If the action doesn’t work out we just learn and tweak and try again.
Little reminders to help you get started, ask for that rebooking, ask for that payment:
You are an expert in your field.
You are trained, have knowledge and have passed an exam to be able to provide the services within your remit of your course.
You invested in yourself and now can share that knowledge and information
You know more than they know. Don’t assume the client knows what you know
You are unique. You are you and will have your own style. You would have learnt the same content in your course as many others but your personality will be different and you’ll find your way how to provide the best service that shows who you are
Step out of your comfort zone and push yourself. The more you try, the more you’ll believe you can
Mindset – I’m not good enough ; yes you are
No one is perfect and everyone makes mistakes but that’s what makes you real and relatable
Go for it, you deserve to be doing what you’re doing
